The Utopia Philosophy

Community: how lost the term has come to be. What with this world and it's "pick up and drop off" mentality, it's tough to really feel welcome. In fact, most places don't even give you the space to sprawl out and enjoy your time spent - not at Utopia Coffee. Our philosophy is that all people should enbrace the community they live in, and love the people in it. We promote a sense of community by providing a place for everyone to gather. Whether it be a family looking for a place to relax, a local business looking for a spot to meet a client or a book club searching for that perfect place to meet and discuss the latest novel; you'll feel right at home. And for the board game fans, come by and ask one of us about our game nights.

But there's more to fullfilling our social responsibility then helping our local community. That's why at Utopia Coffee we only offer fair-trade and organic coffee. Fair trade is a system of exchange that promotes greater equity and partnership in the international trading system by providing fair wages and supporting safe, healthy, and participatory workplaces. The system is designed to ensure environmental sustainability in the area the coffee is being harvested, and to repect the cultural identity that makes their region so beautiful to begin with. By buying fair trade, you are making a difference in thousands of farmers lives - and impacting communities all around the world.
